Do I need a licence to trade?

You only require a licence if you intend to trade on council land or council property. This is relatively straightforward, most local councils should issue you a hawkers or street trading licence upon application and are very inexpensive. However you do not need a license or council permission if you intend to trade on private property such as markets, car boot sales, forecourts, fetes, fairs etc. If you would like some more advice on this matter, please feel free to contact us anytime. Do I need hand-washing facilities when selling Ice Cream?

Officially you do not need hand-washing facilities when selling pre-packed Ice Cream or Lollys, however you do, if you intend to sell soft scoop Ice Cream in cones. We supply the ice cream bikes and seafood bikes with a Purell Hand Sanitizer Gel and neat bracket that is attached to the freezer. This is the same anti-bacterial gel used in hospitals so no water or towels are needed. This should satisfy most Environmental Health Officers, however if they insist you have hot running water, we can supply you with our self contained Hand Wash Unit which will fit neatly at the rear of the cycle rack.

Should I consider insurance?

Absolutely, we would always recommend a minimum of Public Liability Insurance and insuring the bike is worth considering. There are many insurance companies around but a number of our clients have successfully used Southwater Insurance Ltd on 01403 785995. They offer sound advice on all aspects of your business and are very competitively priced.

When will I receive my order?

This depends what time of year you make your purchase. It always gets busier prior to the summer season but we will do our utmost to make your deadline. Usually we have a turnaround of between 10 to 14 working days but please call us to discuss your timescale.

Do you offer a product warranty?

We offer a standard warranty of 12 months based on manufacturing faults and subject to normal wear and tear. Inappropriate handling may jeopardise warranty offered.

What kind of payment do you accept?

We are happy to accept payment with all popular Credit or Debit Cards, Bank Transfer, Cash or Cheque.

I already have a business, can you create a one-off design with our company name?

How much would the delivery cost?

The cost for delivery anywhere UK Mainland is £150.00 This is the price we pay our courier for the job. The bike is delivered Fully Assembled on a large double pallet by our couriers. Please note that due to the large size of this item our couriers are only contracted to make a “curb-side” delivery, so it will be your responsibility to unwrap and wheel it away. If you live anywhere other than UK Mainland please contact us and we will obtain a cost from our couriers. We can deliver anywhere in Europe.

Can I collect from your showroom?

Yes, you are most welcome to collect from our site in Worthing, West Sussex by prior arrangement. You will need either a trailer or a short wheel base van. The measurements of the Ice Cream Bike are 6ft 11 inches Long x 34 inches Wide x 44 inches Tall.
